Three mirrors,
one reflection.
What SCARF, VIA, and Superpowers say about how I lead — before the practice begins.
What lights me up at work.
" Fair process matters most — but I also need room to choose, and people I trust to choose alongside.
The five I lead with.
-
01
Honesty Courage
Presenting myself in a genuine way — without pretense.
-
02
Judgment Wisdom
Thinking things through. Weighing evidence fairly.
-
03
Kindness Humanity
Doing good for others. Taking care.
-
04
Creativity Wisdom
Novel and productive ways to do things.
-
05
Perspective Wisdom
Wise counsel. Ways of seeing that make sense to others.
" Three of my top five live under Wisdom — I lead with reflection, not with force.
Experiment first. Solve next.
Trying different approaches. Testing ideas. Learning through making.
"Your instinct to move fast and fix things is real — and powerful. But sometimes the people around you aren't there yet, and what feels like momentum to you can feel like pressure to them. What might shift if you paused long enough to ask, 'Are we ready to solve this, or do we need to sit with it a little longer?'"
What I notice across all three.
Fairness, honesty, doing things genuinely.
SCARF's top driver was fairness. VIA's top strength was honesty. The same theme, said two different ways — trust and integrity sit at the center of how I work and how I relate.
Creativity meets problem solving.
Experimentation as my Superpower feels accurate to me as a designer — trying things, testing, learning through making. Problem solving showed up too. Together they explain why I lean toward practical solutions when challenges arrive.
Independent — and connected.
The surprise: relatedness scored as high as autonomy. I usually think of myself as independent, but the results reminded me that meaningful connection matters just as much as the freedom to decide.
Curiosity. Action. Fairness. Together.
My leadership style is grounded in fairness, curiosity, and action. I want to keep exploring — but pay closer attention to balancing my urge to solve quickly with creating space for others to share their perspectives and shape the process.
